New BMW FEM/BDC Key Fob "RS"

$184.95

Dealer-level key generation and immobilizer pairing for BMW FEM (Front Electronic Module) and BDC (Body Domain Controller). This service includes complete anti-theft network synchronization and a precision laser-cut emergency blade for seamless, factory-spec operation.

Front Electronic Module (FEM)

The FEM system was primarily used in mid-2010s select compact and mid-size F-series vehicles, paired usually with a separate Rear Electronic Module (REM):

  • 1 Series: F20, F21 (2011–2018)

  • 2 Series: F22, F23 (2014–2020)

  • 3 Series / M3: F30, F31, F34, F35 (2012–2018); F80 M3 (2014–2018)

  • 4 Series / M4: F32, F33, F36 (2013–2020); F82, F83 M4 (2014–2020)

Body Domain Controller (BDC)

The BDC system replaced FEM by merging front and rear module operations into a single advanced controller, standard in later F-series compacts/crossovers and nearly all modern G-series generations:

  • 1 Series / Compacts: F52 (2016–), F40 (2018–)

  • 2 Series: F45 Active Tourer, F46 Gran Tourer (2014–), F44 Gran Coupe (2020–)

  • 3 Series / M3: G20, G21 (2018–)

  • 4 Series: G22 (2020–)

  • 5 Series / M5: G30, G31, G38 (2016–), F90 M5 (2018–)

  • 6 Series / 7 Series / 8 Series: G32 (2017–), G11, G12 (2016–), G14, G15, G16 (2018–)

  • X Series (X1 to X7): F48/F49 (2015–), F39 (2018–), G01/G08 X3 (2017–), G02 X4 (2018–), F15/G05 X5 (2013–), F16/G06 X6 (2014–), G07 X7 (2019–)

  • M Performance: F87 M2 (2015–), F91/F92 M8 (2020–)

Remote BMW FEM/BDC Key Generation Procedure

What You Need to Do:

  1. Extract the Module: Carefully remove the FEM (Front Electronic Module) or BDC (Body Domain Controller) from your vehicle. This unit is typically located in the front passenger-side footwell.

  2. Package Securely: Wrap the sensitive electronic components in anti-static material and secure them in a sturdy shipping box to prevent transit damage.

  3. Ship via Tracked Carrier: Send the package to our Garland facility using a fully insured and trackable shipping method.

What You Need to Send:

  • The FEM/BDC Module: The physical control unit extracted from your BMW.

  • One Working Key: If you are requesting a spare key, you must include one currently functioning original key.

  • Order Information: A printed copy of your order confirmation or a secure note with your contact details and order number.

Important Note for "All Keys Lost" (AKL): If you do not have any working keys for the vehicle, do not ship your module yet. An AKL scenario requires additional data extraction. Please contact our technicians directly, as you will also need to remove and send the DME (Engine Computer) so we can extract the required ISN (Individual Serial Number).

The MELDORN Process: Upon arrival at our lab, our engineers will execute the necessary cryptographic decoding and module programming on our specialized test benches. We will cut the physical emergency blade "Additional $75.00" and sync the new transponder. Your original components and the new, fully programmed key will be shipped back to you as a complete, plug-and-play solution requiring no additional synchronization upon installation.
